47. Progressive : 1952 Political Party

When I first heard that this week’s directive was Progressive, I could not help but think of the Progressive Political Party.

Unlike the Democratic Party and Republican Party in 1948, the anti-war Progressive Party opposed military conscription after World War II.

The Progressive political party never had much success.

In 1948, Henry Wallace of Iowa ran for president, but was not successful.

This made Henry Wallace very sad.

Luckily Kleenex Pocket packs were starting to become more popular at the time.(pictured by his hand above)So his tears could be caught by Kleenex everywhere.

This is one of the ADs for the portable tissues at the time.

Work included: concepting, edit, uploading and writing.

46. Social : Handout

One late night at the compass I decided to perform a Kleenex social experiment.

You know those crazy people that are always handing out flyers?

Well I wanted to see if people would grab free Kleenex if offered to them.

The results were very…strange.

Of the 87 people that were offered the Kleenex, only 6 actually grabbed one.

Below is a photo of my friend steven handing out the Kleenex.

I was going to wait until 100 people passed by to start the test, but by 87 a campus cop had showed up because of complaints of flashing (my camera) in the compass, so we called it a night and stopped at 87.

Only about 6.9% of the people offered free Kleenex actually took one.

Work included: concepting, taking photos, gathering data, editing, uploading and writing.

45. Social : Poll

During class on the week after we were assigned the Social directive I conducted a poll to see about where everyone was on their project.

I asked 15 people how many posts the had these were my results.

0-10: 2 people

11-20: 4 people

21-30: 5 people

31-40: 3 people

41-50: 1 person

Many people had fallen behind on there project.

This is where I realized that I really need to start wrapping everything up.

At the time I had about 23-25 posts.

Life Changed!

44. Social : Kleenex Protest

People were very angry when Puffs stole the whole concept of Kleenex.

In this time period, 1960s, people protested over everything.

So its was not long before people started gathering outside the Puffs HQ protesting their actions.

After much work I obtained this exclusive photo of the event.

Work Included: Concepting, finding Dr. Emmett Brown, helping him fix his DeLorean, traveling thru time to 1960, snapping photo, traveling back to 2012, editing photo, uploading and writing.

43. Social : QR

QR Codes are 2 dimensional barcodes that are easily scanned using any modern mobile phone. This code will then be converted  into a piece of  text and/or link. For instance, you walk around in the city and notice a poster for an event that seems interesting. You take out your mobile phone, scan the QR Code and will instantly get more information and a link to a website where you can book your tickets. You don’t have to type or remember anything and because QR Codes can be very small, this saves a lot of space on the product as well.

I feel like the future of Kleenex need QR codes and I have the perfect way to to display it to everyone on the tissue box that everyone knows and love.

Work included: Concepting, making QR codes, finding clear QR description, editing QR code onto Kleenex box, uploading and writing.

42. No Directive : Doggy Diaper

so naturally i looked to Kleenex for a solution.

The Kleenex doggy diaper.

This worked awesome ! (for about 10 seconds)

I believe that Kleenex doggy diapers are the solution to my dogs problem.

With a little help from the super intelligent Kleenex engineers, i think this will work.

Below I have pictures of the first ever Kleenex Doggy Diaper.

Work Included: Concepting, Making diaper, placing diaper on dog, taking pictures, editing, uploading and writing.

41. No Directive : It’s A Small World After All

Everyone needs a Kleenex.

Even the small critters.

I made a small box of Kleenex for everyone.

Hopefully Kimberly Clark, maker of Kleenex catches on and starts making them.

They are aww worthy if i do say.
